Every woman desires confidence, power, success and...an unbelievable sex life.
Well, why wouldn't we? Anytime we turn on the television, "Sex and the City," "Lipstick Jungle" or "Grey's Anatomy" automatically shove these women's amazing sex lives in our faces.
Hello? Wake up and smell the cosmopolitan, Samantha Jones is by far the sexiest woman on TV and she has it all - the fabulous job with beneficial perks, the perfect figure and the psyche of a man.
That's right, the tables are turning and instead of men sleeping around whenever they please, it appears that women are gaining the upper hand.

I got a copy of the Viking newspaper today. I got around to reading it when I got home. The first article I read was about the new LBCC logo but right away I noticed a lot of errors in the writing.
I'm not an English major or anything, but when I notice this many simple mistakes in the school newspaper it makes me question what kind of message we are sending out to the students of Long Beach City College.

Their songs might not be heard on Los Angeles-area radio stations, but nevertheless A Day to Remember is the next post-hardcore band to watch out for, especially with this year's re-release of their 2007 CD For Those Who Have Heart. This album is a mix of pop-punk/hardcore rhythms and heavy breakdowns with catchy lyrics that have fans singing along at shows.

So, what is a "raconteur" anyway?
According to Webster's Dictionary, it is "a person who is skilled in relating stories and anecdotes interestingly." Obviously Jack White knows exactly just how talented he is, because The Raconteurs exhibit just that.
Perhaps, many wonder why people do "side projects" or side bands at all, especially when The White Stripes is already hugely successful and seem to exude the same folksy traditionalistic-type music that a "raconteur" does.

We found ourselves answering our cell phones, walking through South Quad, overhearing our friends. The news arrives. A loved one is no longer with us. What is it about death that always leaves us staring blankly into the sky, the ground, or anything that takes our minds away from the reality that a friend is gone?
Each of our physical responses is similar, yet our thoughts and emotions are unique.
